The major objective of this workpackage is to prepare and initiate the exploitation and dissemination of project results as soon as possible. This workpackage will then communicate market/exploitation constraints when needed in the work-plan to the other activities in the project and will define the individual partner’s short and long term project use plans. Moreover, first step towards commercialisation of the PLASTIC results will be taken: training of engineers, dissemination of the results via project workshop and Web site, and application notes to be published in technical conferences and publications. Participation in international conferences is foreseen in the various fields of relevance. An Industrial Assessment Committee will be created to timely and effectively assess and disseminate the project’s work with industrial stakeholders interested in the project. Also, to promote usage of the PLASTIC solutions, the software prototypes related to the core platform that will be developed, will be released as open source software.

Standardization will be also a major focus of this Workpackage. This is not a simple task, but is of great importance to the consortium in order to crystallize the results of the project and really influence the technology improvement and advance within the European workground.
The standardization activities of the project will be mainly carried out by those who are now active in several standardization bodies such as OMA, OMG, OSGI, W3C, and OASIS.
